WEATHER POLICY
All outdoor jumping castle hires are subject to appropriate weather conditions. To secure your booking (date/equipment), a deposit must be paid in advance. Final balances are due week of event, once weather and safety assessments have been completed.
In the event of poor weather (high winds, storms, rain), your hire may be cancelled if no backup indoor space has been organised. In this case, your deposit paid moves to a credit on file, valid to rebook with us within 12 months.
All of our castles can handle light unexpected/non forecasted rain - everything we use is outdoor rated. If heavier rain occurs during your event, we advise to switch power off, allow rain to pass and towel down the castle play areas before resuming play.
Unfortunately we cannot, under any circumstances, set up our soft play outdoors if there is a chance of rain. The materials used *will* suffer damages if these come in contact with moisture! Soft Play hires must have a backup indoor space to ensure these can proceed despite the weather.
If rain is expected for your entire event and you have a backup wet weather venue (community hall, scout hall, school hall) we can absolutely move your set up location to indoors as long as there is space.
If you would like to cancel or postpone the hire prior to the day, you will receive a credit minus any applicable surcharge for the notification period. Please view our Cancellation Policy. No further refunds or credits will be applicable after you have postponed/changed your hire date once.
During periods of severe weather conditions (heavy rain, high winds, storms etc), we reserve the right to postpone your booking due to safety. We monitor and assess weather forecasts DAILY in the lead up to all of our booked events. If conditions are assessed and deemed safe, we will proceed with your booking unless we hear from you with changes. Credits do not apply should weather impact your hire after the equipment has been installed.
Laybuy and Afterpay payments cannot be refunded. If you have paid for your booking via this method, any payments received will be applied in the form of a credit voucher to be used towards future hire within 12 months of your original booking minus any applicable surcharges due to cancellations, change of mind or wet weather as outlined in our policies. Any credits accumulated after this time will be forfeited by you.
It’s incredibly difficult to determine whether it will rain for certain. We have had days where the rain was reading at a 100% chance forecast and not one drop fell! We have had forecasts showing rain all week and it moves over us. Rain can be scheduled but not until later in the evening.
We keep a very close eye on the weather using a number of different reliable sources and review updated forecasts regularly. If we deem it to be unsafe to proceed, we will always be in touch to advise a cancellation ahead of time if necessary but in the case of a low percentage chance of light rain, unless we hear from you regarding a cancellation, your hire is likely to proceed.
